Last winter I worked for a while out of an office in Over the Rhine, putting me in Cincinnati once a week. Spending lunches walking around OTR, exploring the Queen City on foot was a fantastic perk. The afternoon that we made it into Tom+Chee was cold, drizzly, and the perfect day for grilled cheese and tomato soup.
Tom+Chee. Cincinnati’s Grilled Cheese
We were well through the doors, hats, and jackets shaken off, gloves into pockets, menus in hand when I realized that the nagging feeling of semi-recognition was due to the fact that this was the place we saw on Shark Tank. Sweet.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, other than it smelled
Which then lead me to Google, which then led me to thier website, Tom+Chee takes thier grilled cheese seriously, and in the best ways.
Unlike most restaurants, we roast our own meats and make our dressings, sauces, and spreads from scratch. We also offer gluten-free bread, vegan cheese, vegan/vegetarian soups and make our basil pesto with sunflower seeds (perfect for our friends with tree-nut allergies). Tom+Chee goes the extra mile to serve all of our customers food that is awesome and fresh!

So what do you go for your first time in? Aside from the obvious, ‘yes, I’ll take one of all of them
(You can read more about my mac and cheese thoughts here & here.)
It was so. freakin. good.
