While my Mom and Stepdad Terry were in town visiting we drove up to Cleveland for a day, to poke around the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame, and then to the West Side Market to get groceries to make paella that night, once when we got back to Columbus.
It was Jeff’s turn to choose the restaurant, so when lunch rolled around, we stopped into Herb’ N Twine in Ohio City, and I am SO happy that we did.
Lunch at Herb’ N Twine | Ohio City Sandwiches
Before moving to Ohio I had two solid points of reference to the City of Cleveland. The opening song of the Drew Carey Show & the Cav’s. That’s it. So when we made plans to head North to explore that day, I didn’t have any preconceived notions.
We’d poked through the market, & worked our way through the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame that morning before loading back into the car and heading to lunch. As we drove, like I do, I pulled up the menu to peruse through it.
I’m a sucker for a good grilled cheese. It’s a thing.
You can imagine my delight at the description of theirs. Aged cheddar, gruyere, maple smoked bacon, & black fig jam. Yup. Yes, please. Sign me up for that one.
Jeff opted for the Hot Chicken, and it was a straight up tie as to who won lunch that day.
You can find Herb’N Twine at 4309 Lorain Rd, Cleveland, Ohio 44113.
Word to the wise though, go early, as their bread is baked daily, and when they’re out they’re done for the day. That freshness, it carries over into all that they do.
No matter what your order, you won’t be disappointed.
Oh yah , the paella that night, ammmmazing.
